David Gordon

I am an East Lothian-based mixed media artist inspired by the landscapes, gardens, architecture, and the natural beauty that surrounds me.

My work explores the relationship between place, memory, and atmosphere, drawing on Scotland's coastline, countryside, historic buildings, and cultivated spaces. Through layers of texture, colour, and mark-making, I aim to capture not just how a scene looks, but how it feels.

Working across a variety of materials and techniques allows me to create expressive pieces that balance observation with interpretation.

My goal is to create artwork that invites viewers to pause, reflect, and discover their own connection to the places that inspire us.

From my studio in East Lothian, I continue to explore and celebrate the landscapes and built heritage of Scotland through contemporary mixed media art.
